This course provide the student with education in relation to the function of the equine digestive system, the nutritional content of feeds, adding supplements, and formulation of a balanced diet for various types of horses. The nutrients, their actions and signs of deficiency form a major component of these courses. The course covers history, actions and use of Bach Therapy, Tissue Salts and basic herbs. Students that successfully complete this certificate, and decide to continue on to a professional level course are able to sit an entry theory test to gain an exemption from the components previously studied The course is run once per year in Maccclesfield Vic. (Dandenong Ranges) Date of Next Course: Sunday 12th September 2010 The Nutrition and the Holistic Therapy courses can be arranged to be run as a study at home six month certificate. If studied in this manner the student is required to submit study questions and one assignment as part of their assessment. Students that successfully complete this form of the certificate, and decide to continue on to a professional level course are able to sit an entry theory test to gain an exemption from the components previously studied. Fee: $395.00 Horses provided This course for owner riders is designed to teach the horse enthusiast the theory and application of massage to benefit the health and performance of their horse. Students will also learn how to recognise the early signs of performance based problems thus allowing early treatment to reduce the risk of further injury and lost training time.
