Our Horse Massage, Horse Nutrition and Equine Health Courses are specifically designed for horse enthusiasts who are looking to further their skills and knowledge in holistic horse care.


We have designed our courses to be a worry free and enjoyable learning experience, by providing you with

    is a qualified equine therapist
    who has lectured at university and TAFE,
    and is currently the coordinator of
    The Diploma of Equine Tactile Therapy.
    Many other qualified and experienced tutors also assist in the delivery of your courses.

    Horse Massage One Day Workshop

    This one day course provides owner riders hands on experience in massage.
    The techniques can then be used as part of your training program to enhance performance.


    The course will cover basic massage strokes and how to apply them to the horse to gain benefit in training, risks and benefits of massage will also be covered. A valuable adjunct to your equine care routines.

    Horse Massage Two Day Workshop

                                                                                                                                              This course for owner riders is designed to teach the horse enthusiast the theory and application of massage to benefit the health and performance of their horse. Students will also learn how to recognise the early signs of performance based problems thus allowing early treatment to reduce the risk of further injury and lost training time.

    The course is run twice per year in Maccclesfield Vic.

    Equine Gait Analysis Workshop

    In this one day course you will learn how to assess equine movement with a view to recognising the effect of conformation on movement along with the location of any problems.

    Horses will be assessed with the naked eye and also with the use of Video Gait analysis equipment. This will allow the student to ascertain their ability to see various parts of the equine stride and develop the skills of assessment.

    Assessing Equine Fitness in Training

    Is your horse in training for any discipline?

      Understanding when your horse is fit enough to increase training levels and recognising if your horse is coping with the increased level of work is of utmost importance to ensure you design your training program for your horse's individual abilities.

    Being able to recognise when your horse is displaying the early signs of sports related injury will allow you to alter your traning program to assist the horse to recover without significant loss of training days.

    This course provides the student with information on the response of horses to training, and how to assess this response in your horse.

    This assessment will cover the musculature, cardiovascular and respiratory response to work and training. Keeping records and analysis of what the records indicate will be an integral part of this training day.

    The one day intensive course runs from 10 am - 5 pm in Maccclesfield

    Horse Nutrition and Feeding Workshop

    This course provide the student with education in relation to the function of the equine digestive system, the nutritional content of feeds, adding supplements, and formulation of a balanced diet for various types of horses.

    The nutrients, their actions and signs of deficiency form a major component of these courses.

    Flower Essences, Biochemics and Herbs in Horse Care Workshop

    This six month certificate will introduce the student to the use of natural therapies in equine care. The course covers history, actions and use of Bach Therapy, Tissue Salts and basic herbs.

    Students that successfully complete this certificate, and decide to continue on to a professional level course are able to sit an entry theory test to gain an exemption from the components previously studied

    For students that cannot gain access to the one day workshops in Nutrition and Holistic Therapies we can arrange for the content to be delivered as a home bases study program. Please contact the college if you wish further information on this method of undertaking these workshops.
